What are “negative emotions”?

Psychologically, anxiety, nervousness, anger, depression, sadness, pain, and so on are called negative emotions.

Negative emotions are often not positive to people’s experiences because they will escape negative emotions and don’t like negative emotions. So negative emotions will bring discomfort to the body, and even affect the academic, work, and life, and may cause physical and mental harm.

There are no good or bad emotions

Rejecting or suppressing negative emotions doesn’t help you

If you suppress negative emotions and it doesn’t go away, it’s going to reappear and alert again, which makes a person more and more negative, more and more uncomfortable.

All emotions contain our inner feelings and critical needs. If you do not express emotions, others simply can not know.

So, rather than vent your emotions, it’s better to express your real needs to others, even if others can’t satisfy you, and you know why they can’t.

Besides, it is necessary to avoid forcing others to do what they want, which is also the main reason why many people have negative emotions.

Four typical negative emotions and how to handle them properly


Many times, we misunderstand anxiety and think that it must be the enemy of psychology.

In fact, anxiety is a defensive mechanism in our brains that alerts people to potential dangers and is an appropriate response to our surroundings.

Proper anxiety can help you understand the situation more objectively and play a proactive role.

On the other hand, anxiety arises when people want to do something eagerly, but they don’t meet expectations.

Anxiety means perfectionism and desire, progress and disappointment, and contains achievement and value.

But if you’re over-anxious, it’s counterproductive.

When there are signs of anxiety, adjust your status in time.

Don’t push yourself too much when you’re not capable or ready to deal with that conflict. Anxiety protects you first, eases you down, and makes you realize that you may need to turn to others, giving you sufficient motivation and energy to meet the challenge.

Believe that you must have enough energy and the ability to solve problems and overcome adversity.


Why is a person angry?

Sometimes it’s because things don’t go in the direction he envisioned. For instance, when the job is not done, the boss is angry. As we can see, anger is not entirely negative, but rather a desire to get things done and to solve problems.

Anger contains strength, boundaries, and self-esteem. When we are offended and violated, we are angry, which is a need for boundaries and self-esteem.

Beyond that, anger represents efficiency. The efficiency and quality of tasks that people perform in a state of anger are significantly better than when they are normal.

Anger is not terrible. It is the destructive behavior and the energy of infection that comes with it getting out of control.

Therefore, learning to express anger reasonably is a compulsory course in life.

Relax for 3-10 seconds and release your anger, and you’ll find that the anger is less.


What kind of person feels lonely? When a person does nothing, he feels lonely.

Lonely people need to give, because helping others helps themselves, helping others seems to make others happy; in fact, they also get happiness from it, because they have found their value.

When you feel lonely, it’s a reminder: make friends quickly, or help those who need your help.


The object of jealousy is subconsciously something we are eager to have but have not yet. Or something you feel disdainfully, but you can’t get.

Jealousy is human nature, but it contains many negative words, apathy, debasement, exclusion and hostility, revenge. Jealousy will lead to slander and even hate and aggression.

Let’s change our minds and healthily deal with jealousy.
